It is finally the Third Saturday in October, and that means the annual clash between Alabama and Tennessee.

Our Michael Southern will update this thread throughout the game from the stadium, where he works alongside Christopher Walsh, Cecil Hurt and Tommy Deas. This is your chance to get uo-to-the-minute thoughts from Bryant-Denny Stadium, and to share yours on the action!

Good morning to all from Bryant-Denny Stadium. A few of the Volunteers just trotted out of the South end zone for warmups. Does anyone need to guess what kind of reception they received?

Good Morning to you guys!!! I watched the Crimson Classic Bama vs. Tenn in Gene Stallings' first year as head coach. I watched #14 then and thought about our #14. I am fired up for this game!!! JPW will lead the Tide to victory!!!!

I don't think it's normal to be Great, I think it's SPECIAL-Coach Nick Saban

You can measure talent, you can measure speed, you can measure agility and quickness and all that. It's a big factor, but you can't measure heart-Wallace Gilberry

Great performance from the Tide defense in 1990, especially with the blocked field goal that led to Phillip Doyle's game-winning field goal.

It's way too early for the students to start tossing things yet. We'll see how things are in about 4 1/2 hours.

Not much at the moment even though it's less than 50 minutes before kickoff. Both teams have their quarterbacks and receivers warming up. The student section is filling up, but the stadium is probably only about 35 percent full.

It's "Dueling Bands" at the moment. The UT band fired up "Rocky Top" which spurred boos and sparked the Million Dollar Band to counter with "Yea Alabama."

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Media Relations just handed out an announcement that five UA players are suspended for today's game. The suspended players are: Antoine Caldwell, Glen Coffee, Marlon Davis, Marquis Johnson and Chris Rogers. The reason listed for the suspension is a "violation of institutional policy involving impermissible receipt of textbooks." The infraction was discovered on Thursday and an inquiry was initiated. The players were informed of their suspensions on Friday upon the initial results of the inquiry. The University is still in a fact-finding phase and will release further details when the inquiry is completed.
