Georgia and Ole Miss are finally underway with the first pitch coming at 6:49. The game was scheduled to start at 5. That means that Alabama's scheduled 8 o'clock game will start much, much later.

In earlier games, LSU knocked off South Carolina and Vandy took care of Florida.

Ole Miss gets three hits in the first inning to take a quick 2-0 lead.

It's a beautiful spring evening at Regions Park. It's always fun to be at an event where multiple schools are represented, especially in the SEC.

Between Georiga and Alabama fans there's a lot of Red/Crimson in the stands.

The games are on CSS with the exception of the championship game, which will be on FSN.

Quick question to those chiming in on the thread: What is proper etiquette on going for a foul ball? Is it every man/woman for themselves? Or should you make way for a child to "make the play?"

Tough luck, kid. Come back when you grow up and you can take the foul ball away from another little tyke. Good lesson about life in the real world (g)

I'm going all day Saturday with a buddy who says he has VIP skybox tickets with free beer and food. Does Regions Park have skyboxes? Anyone ever had VIP passes? Hopefully Bama will still be around Saturday.

Yes they have skyboxes. I have never had VIP passes so I can't help you there.

Ole Miss leads 3-0 after a Guerrero solo homer that looked foul but was called fair.

Nice crowd on hand for tonight's game. There's a nice breeze blowing through the park.
