I remember in 1995 when Alabama lost 31-27 (when the officials ruled Curtis Brown out of bounds on a touchdown pass) the Auburn student section pelted the Alabama players with cups and ice as they ran through the tunnel after the game. This was after Auburn won! I would have hated to see what might have happened if Alabama had won 34-31.
