I understand your frustration of no high-def. Once you watch any sports in high definition it's hard to watch regular television. If the Big Ten network is in high-def, the SEC should mandate that LF offer its broadcast in high-def. |

From what I have read and heard of Caldwell and Coffee especially, it would surprise me if they knowingly violated the rules.
I think everyone should remember the University is taking PREEMPTIVE action so that the players do not participate. They only found out Thursday. Given the way its worded it could turn out to be a screw up by admin. The kids get textbook allowances...so I'm not sure what improperly receiving them would be about. Obviously they didn't walk in the bookstore and steal them or this would be a different kind of report? |

This is purely speculation, but my guess as to what may have happened. Scholarship athletes receive a textbook allowances as part of their scholarship packages, and arrangements are put into place that the texts are just charged out to the athletic department by the bookstores. But it may be possible for a student athlete to charge books against his allowance, then turn around and resell them. With textbooks often running $100 and more, there's potential to make a few bucks. Again, just speculation. |

Well, we've just now hired coaches that will not excuse, tolerate, or overlook behavior, and in fact come down the line and that quite hard. This is a good thing. We are cleaning our own house, and doing it VERY thoroughly. Teaching these boys the lessons it takes to become men is EXACTLY what Bama needs right now....even more than a win against Tennessee. Well on the postive note:
Justin Britt is back at LG. Evan Cardwell has done well at C. B.J. Stabler will have to fill Marlon Davis' shoes at RG. Roy Upchurch will get to carry the ball alot more. Jimmy Johns has moved up to #3, so he should get some carries. Eric Gray and Tremayne Coger will get some reps behind Castille and Jackson today. RELAX GUYS WE STILL WILL WIN THIS GAME!!! HAVE FAITH AND STOP DOUBTING!!!
