Howell got the first two batters of the inning out relatively easy, but like the last inning he wasn't able to shut the door.

Sawyer Carroll singled to left, Collin Cowgill walked and Wells just made a visit to the mound.

3-1 to Brian Spear....

And Howell walked him. The bases are now drunk as catcher Chris McCledon digs in.

New Kentucky pitcher, Tyler Henry, allowed the near homer by Smith, gave up a single to Kubal and walked Rutledge.

Ross Wilson, who has been quiet tonight as well, steps up. Let's see if the hometown kid can give UA a huge cushion as we head into the last four innings.

Walk issued by Henry. The bases are now drunk for Alabama as the Tide's power man, Avila, steps up...

And here comes a pitching change (UK's fourth pitcher of the night)...LHP Mike Kaczmarek.

Here we go. Let's see what Avila can do with the bases loaded and only one out.

Another near home run by Avila, this time bouncing off the Ole Miss logo in right center.

Kubal scored while Rutledge was thrown out at home on a play that wasn't even close.

7-1, Alabama....

Wow, Brandon May almost brought the roof off the place (if in fact there was a roof here at Regions Park), missing a home run by a few inches down the line in left.

Kaczmarek just threw one over the head of Bentley...which, in college, is the same as getting plunked.

Bases loaded as Matthes steps up.
