How does the current crowd compare to the crowd at this point pre-kickoff last year?

Don't think anything could compare to that, not for a spring game.

No contact -- or tackling at least -- on the kickoff return. Javier Arenas whistled down while still on his feet at the 30.

JP Wilson's first two passes incomplete.

Nick Saban is standing behind the offense in a tan coat -- best seat in the house.

Throwaway by Wilson on third down. A few claps. A couple of cat-calls from the crowd.

Kind of like a shower cap. If they all have the same helmets and some are wearing white and some crimson, how do you know who to block? The coveralls let you know those players are on the kick team.

Sounds like we may not even have the biggest crowd of the year, unless they arrive late. Bummer.

Also sounds like JPW is being... JPW.

Walker is a beast of a man. McElroy looks fast.

The White team on the move.

Upchurch for 14 up the middle for the game's first first down. McElroy to Nick Walker for a big gainer into Crimson territory, then scrambles for about 7 more.

Ah... I've never heard of that, but it makes sense.

Upchurch moves the chains with a 2-yard run on third-and-one.

First who-is-that-guy of the day -- McElroy throws 28 yards on play-action to Darius Hanks, redshirt freshman from Norcross, Ga., for the game's first TD.

White 7, Crimson 0.

i dont know what goes on in normal practice, but Gmac seems to have command of what he needs to do, and does it.

Keep in mind, he's playing against the #2 D. Also keep in mind that Saban has pretty much said he'll never play a down in a real game.

Wilson with a completion for 7 yards to Chris Underwood, then scrambles for 19 into White territory.

Jonathan Lowe off left tackle for an 11-yard gain. I like that guy.

Wilson with a very good throw on third and long. Only problem is it was into double coverage.

Incomplete around the goal line.

Bring on Leigh Tiffin for a 44-yard field goal.

I'm betting the Tiffin clan in the all-time leading family in A-Day scoring.

Nick Walker with another catch.

For those of you who don't keep score at home, Alabama tight ends last year caught more balls for more yards than anytime in the previous two coaching administrations.
