Wasson - You mean you're NOT there? Shouldn't you be there getting info for your new publication? Smiler

Just because *I* am not there doesn't mean VSM's Alabama Football Magazine isn't there. Smiler

And yes, Aaron, that is a shame. Pepsi sucks almost as bad as me from 10-50 yards into a green.

Link is YOUR web hub for the best Alabama high school and college football coverage around!

Pepsi will always be that "other" soft drink when it comes to Alabama tradition.

I think bringing Coca-Cola back should be integrated into "The Process."

I'm back from doing a radio interview.

As for the controversy, I'm muching on Golden Flake potato chips while I write this, so I know where my bread's buttered.

Good point, but it just doesn't seem right for you not to be there, pal.

Tommy... any update on the crowd? Have the other 40-50k of people shown up yet?

Chamber of Commerce weather. Temperatures in the 70s and the sky is blue. 18 minutes till kickoff.

Festive atmosphere. The sun is coming out, bright and warm.

The anticipation is building. The team is off the field after warmups and will be reentering the stadium in a few minutes.

Just got word no rain in sight. If you're thinking about coming over it's not too late.

Eight minutes and counting on the scoreboard. Team still not out.

My latest best guess is more like 60-65 thousand on hand right now.

Team just beginning to walk out onto the field, not trotting out from both end zones.

Big cheer from the crowd. Fan support leaning pretty heavily toward the Crimson team today judging from what they're wearing in the stands.

Spring game split squads makes the team look awfully thin depth-wise, with last year's seniors gone and the freshmen not here yet.

Zeke Knights, Jimmy Johns and Rashad Johnson captains for the white. The red captained by Antoine Caldwell and JP Wilson.

How does the current crowd compare to the crowd at this point pre-kickoff last year?

Actually, Crimson captain JP Wilson wearing no-contact black, not crimson.

Crimson kicking off, wearing the gold coveralls over the helmets on special teams.

And the kickoff and return units are a mixed bag from both squads for what should be obvious reasons -- neither split squad can field full special teams units.
