aMAZEnFan, why isn't Tuscaloosa High School the "Black Bears" anymore? I graduated from THS in '52. Is there still a Tuscaloosa High School, or has it been replaced with Central?

I don't think it's normal to be Great, I think it's SPECIAL-Coach Nick Saban You can measure talent, you can measure speed, you can measure agility and quickness and all that. Replaced by Central in 78-79, I believe!!! They used to have Druid Dragons as well, but they merged the schools into two branches of Central High. They have recently split the schools up again into 3 schools with Central being the smallest of the 3. Central recently won the 4A state title and will be bumped up to 5A. They were 6A for the longest until the changes. Hope that helps.
