Which "insiders" correctly predicted the last sanctions? Kimble is giving somewhat of a "common sense" prediction, which is all the people who are actually involved with the University could do. No one knows, not even if you're an "insider," just like last time.

As long as we don't lose any scholarships and are still eligible for post-season play, I don't care what other penalties we get.

The vacated wins would be 2005,2006 2007 up until tha Tennessee game. those are the games that the guilty players ,played in.

OU got one year probation, lost one scholarship and some wins (which the NCAA promptly returned when the President of the University complained). This is all they recieved despite the fact that all records of the other 60+ players who had worked at the car dealership over the past 5 years had conveniently disappeared & OU already had one sport on probation (basketball).

The Penalties Bama gets will not affect the on the field product. If Bama does lose a couple of schollys, it probably won't have a ripple, considering the talent we've assembled since Saban arrived. I doubt we forfeit any games or get a post season ban, despite what barner Kimble says.

Vacating wins will be a HUGE disaster. Bama already should be credited with 807 on the field victories...if Bama has to vacate Shula's 10-win season and the 6 wins from 2006 and some of Saban's wins...it makes a mess of Bama's all time record, a mess of Saban's record while at Alabama, and makes Shula's career record even worse.

It will take Bama another two or three seasons to just get back to 800...while our competitors are already chasing 900!!!

Why should we have to vacate wins? Just what competitive advantage did we gain from athletes getting extra textbooks?

I think that is the criteria for vacating wins, gaining a competitive advantage.

There will be no vacating of wins for the football team and no loss of scholarship in my opinion. I will also be highly surprised if the probation is more than 2years, if that. 2 years probation and a fine. Vacating wins due to giving away a few textbooks where noone profited and noone gained a competitive advantage for this would be asanine. If they try it, Bama will take them to court. They have already hired a law firm. Not sure they want to spend another 5-6 years in the court room with Bama over some textbooks.
