Funny this got started I posted a thread a couple of days ago asking for info on the Huntsville area. I am a nurse supervisor at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and want badly to relocate to North Alabama preferably to Huntsville. If anyone can help out I would sure appreciate it. PM me and I can send a resume. i am currently on the Occupational practice council/Patient Satisfaction Committee/and will soon be on the VTE prophylaxis committee.

I wish we didn't have so many fans who are placing themselves in a position to say "I told you so" if we ultimately lose. Just enjoy the wins! OldCoach

I work for Emerson, Electrical Reliability Services. This Link is to our website, it has a job listings on the left hand side of the page. I work out of the Baton Rouge office and although B.R. isn't listed I know we are looking for Electrical or Industrial Engineers.
The work would focus on electrical substation startup and maintenance in the refineries and chemical plants along the Mississippi River from B.R. to south of New Orleans and surrounding areas.
PM me for more details.

Does the Air Force hire mathematicians? If so, I might look into that when I finish my Ph.D.

Math degrees are big for officers. the Air Force needs you bad.

Good money with a lot of benefits. Could do it as a reserves too if you just want it part time.

FYI - if you already have a Masters Degree you can go directly into OTS. That's the path my Bro-in-law took and he is now a Major!

I do already have a Master's, but I'm so close to finishing my Ph.D. it would be foolish not to go ahead and do it, and I don't think the Air Force (or anybody else) wants a fool.

Reserves are higher on the cutoffs. in the 40's i think.

For OTS you may need to talk to a different recruiter but any of them can point you in the right direction. and Yes finish your PHD.

But a little note is that while you are in the Air Force will pay 100% of your tuition to any Qulifing school click the link Link

A friend of mine went to work for Keystone foods about 6 months ago. Keystone foods makes all the chicken nuggets for McDonald's among providing food to a number of restaurants. You can go online at Keystone foods link

They have a large operation in west Huntsville near Bridgestreet, but they also have numerous operations in the U.S. and worldwide.

My friend loves it, says they are very family oriented, will help pay for college, etc. She works in product design labeling and quality control. They give them free food for their families a lot. Her freezer is full of products made by Keystone.

You also can submit an application online.
