Please do not let things like facts and data get in the way of a good argument.

What would be your definition of "facts and data"? RTR “I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.” William F. Buckley Jr |

The article for one thing. "It’s not that I’m scared of Phil Fulmer the football coach. I’m scared of Phil Fulmer the obese food pantry ninja.” |

Facts would be something related to the truth on a particular subject. I saw that dirtbag Glen Beck last night talking about this same thing.
The question I have is, did Rupert Murdoch write this article himself. It's either a freakin' joke or it's an outright lie. The actual facts just don't support that claim. Since Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy, and tax breaks for big corporations, the majority of our country's tax liability has fallen on the shoulders of a rapidly diminishing middle class. Come on Blue, you can do better than that. I have to admit your post are always so ignorant they make me laugh. Seriously!!

Because of the tax breaks, the rich got richer. That's why they paid more in taxes (not percentage, but actual dollars).

Yes and I believe the article said something to this effect. But you can not argue that the rich already pay for almost half of this countries burden. However, as percentage they are still paying more than the lower income families. "It’s not that I’m scared of Phil Fulmer the football coach. If there are only 2 taxpayers in the country, one of whom makes 100 million dollars a year and the other makes 10,000 dollars a year and the tax rate is 10% for each, is this fair?
10% of 10k is 1k. 10% of 100 million is 10 million. The guy making 10k now has to live on 9k. The guy making 100 million now has to live on 90 million. Somehow, it doesn't seem unfair to me to tax the guy making 100 million 15% and keep the taxes on the 10k guy at 10%. You're taking more of a % from the 100 million guy, but he still has about 9 thousand times more money left over, after taxes, than the guy bringing home 9k. |

We need the "Fair Tax" this would be best for everyone. And Glen Beck ,even if you don't care for him, is usually right!

So punish the guy who has done very well for himself and give it to the one who has not? Sounds like someone wanting a handout to me. "No experience; no judgment; no integrity," ... Obama, your president. |

To tax people who make more a higher rate might not seem unfair, unless you are the one that has to pay the higher rate.

A person making 10k per year actually pays nothing. A person with 100mm per year is in the highest tax bracket, and that = a bunch! Obviously you're a bleeding heart liberal, and you think this rich guy should give YOU some of his money. Get real! "If you WAIT to see what happens. What you want to happen will NOT". |
