I cannot stand it anymore. Debating with people from my school on abortion and it is simply stupid.

I cannot copy and paste what the antagonist of the debate said because there are so many f-bombs that I'd be booted on here.

Basically, I shed factual light on the topic, saying that aborting a baby or fetus, whatever you call it is MURDER. It has a different genetic makeup and DNA and does not have but 1 characteristic of a parasite. It is not part of the woman's body because no woman has two heartbeats or another living body with a different DNA than she does. It is not her right to choose because, contrary to popular belief, she does not have the right to choose for that human.

She has the right to make choices for herself, and that does not include a human living inside of her. We have freedoms in America, but with those freedoms come certain responsibilities. Just as in the Imus controversy, you can do what you want but you have to take responsibility for what you did. She did ____ and now is pregnant, therefore must go forth with the pregnancy. If she is a louse and doesn't want the kid, put it up for adoption or let another relative take care of it. Murder is not a right guaranteed in this country's vital documents.

No human has the right to take life from another human. Abortion has been legalized murder for way too long and it's time for America to wake up and smell the roses. Perhaps job shortages would be solved, if we hadn't killed 40 million children in the American Holocaust.

Sickening and sad. I can't even begin to imagine how this girl I am debating with can rationalize it, but she is. She tells me that I don't have a uterus, therefore I have no opinion. Sick.

The American Holocaust. 40 Million American lives ended abruptly since 1973, because of our desensitized view of responsibility and our rights.

What do you think?

Keep on fighting Knx. I believe we have a Supreme Court that will dig deep into the abortion issue.

ha. Yes siree, no worries here. I've done 2 research projects with persuasive essays included opposing abortion and I take pride in knowing the risks and the facts. I may not have a uterus, but I sure as anything have a heart. America has become way too complacent with their rights and they use them as their crutch. I'm not saying that because I've done a project on it, that I know it all. I do know that there is no possible way to rationalize a dead human.

Good Job and God bless. I have argued for years with heartless people who beg for the rights of criminals and demand that the inncent baby be put to death.
As Ronald Reagan onse said, "I notice that all the people that are for abortion have already been born".
Keep up the good work!

I hope all of you are also against the death penalty as much as you are against abortion. So, if someone murders your parents, they should not pay with their life? I think not. I agree with "an eye for an eye". I also agree with abortions for rape victims. So, am I an outdated moron? I'm 53 years old, and have lived through the times of illegal and legal abortions. I still, to this day, believe in the death penalty (I worked for 21 years in the Federal Bureau of Prisons), and in abortion. However, I also believe in your right to disbelieve in both, or either. It's a very touchy subject.

It is a touchy subject texas. The statement "an eye for an eye" is an Old Testament statement. The New Testament buried that mentality. I am against the death penalty (I know I risk a lot of hate messages). I don't believe its done much to deter crime and ends up costing more than warehousing someone for the rest of their life. I agree with your argument that often those who are anti-abortion are pro-death penalty. Seems like a contradiction.

when you take away a woman's rights to her body, there should be equal repercussions for men...how bout some kind of Sperm Bill??

a man should not be allowed to let loose his sperm in a sexual situation with a woman that could result in pregnancy unless he signs an agreement--every time he has sex-- to share equally in the physical, emotional, and finacial upbringing of the child that might be might result from sex...

this responsiblity would have to be strictly monitered by the government---any deviation should be severly punished...

let's make the playing field equal..

Bah humbug.... Sounds like excuses. The woman is present when this happens... Is she not? It is time for ALL PEOPLE, MEN AND WOMEN to take accountability for their actions. You do it, you raise it... Or at least give someone else the chance.

I agree in part Bingo. I think a woman has the right to do whatever she wants with HER body. However, why do we take that right away from the unborn child? Men should be more responsible.

and, that, bob is my point....the man should be held as accountable as the woman....unfortunately, the woman is the one who carries the child for 9 months...and, let's face it...traditionally the woman is the one who is responsible for the day to day care of the child...

hey, i have children--have never had an abortion--and know what goes into caring for a child.....at this point in my life, i know i would never choose to have an abortion....but, you, the government, or anyone else has no right to tell me what to do with my body...

Again, we agree but I don't believe that you, the government, or anyone else has the right tell an unborn infant that they don't have the right to live because it isn't convenient for you.
