We don't shut the office down except for a couple of days (Christmas Day & Thanksgiving Day)... Being the good boss that I am, I normally allow all of my department heads to have the holidays and I come in to make sure no one on the skeleton crew does anything stupid... |

Good morning gentlemen and any ladies that are observing. I am going to work - out that is with my 14 yo (ok corny) this morning and then all of us are going out to eat lunch and watch a movie this afternoon.

Technically I am working but I am at home. I am on call this weekend. We still have to support those golf course superintendents so those among us who golf have a nice green course to play on.

Man, if you're working today they ought to let you play 18 holes for free! I don't envy your job though. I remember being on call 24/7... not good. at least (hopefully) you're not at work and enjoying the holiday today. |

I have not had any calls for a couple of hours and my wife and daughters had a dog show in Oklahoma City this weekend. So it is nice and quiet around the house right now. I get on call about every 9-10 weeks and it was just dumb luck I got it this weekend. I do get a day off later for it. Every now and then a golf course superintendent will tell me that the next time I am in(name your city, state, country here) drop in for a free round of golf.
