The Pope decided to take a couple of days off to visit the Gulf Coast of Alabama for some sightseeing. His chauffeur was cruising along when he saw a frantic commotion just at the edge of the water. A helpless man, wearing cut-off jeans, a greasy looking Auburn hat, and a "Bama Sux" T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically and thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10-foot bull shark.

As the Pope watched in horror, a group of guys came racing up in a beautiful 27' center console boat named the “Crimson Tide”. One quickly fired a 44 magnum into the sharks head. The other two reached down and pulled the bleeding, semiconscious Auburn fan from the sharks grasp. Then, using long clubs, the three Bama fans finished off the shark and two of them threw it into the back of their boat while the other tenderly placed the injured Auburn fan in the front seat.

As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over near the shore. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions!" he told them. "I heard there was a bitter hatred between Alabama and Auburn fans but now I've seen with my own eyes that this is not true."

As the Pope drove off, one of the Bama fans asked his buddies "Who was that guy?"

"It was the Pope," another replied. "He's in direct contact with heaven and has access to all wisdom."

"Well," the Bama fan said, "he may have access to all wisdom but he sure doesn't know anything about shark fishin’! By the way, is the bait holding up, or do we need to go back to the Barn and get another one?"
