Who were they? Name them.

BH said he wont be back till Wed. We can bump this thread for him till Thursday.

BH, generic statements like, "it was debated heavily on Fox News" do not count as proof. I'm SURE we all want to believe you but I agree with Groove Thing. Prove It.

I saw that Bama Hamma contributed to a thread this afternoon. Now that you're back BH, care to prove your assertions that "there were a number of Democrats who went to Iraq when the war firat started and protested"?

Here are a few names that I found in the past 20 minutes that have protested the Iraq war in ways that should never be done. These are people of power and influence. Not all went to Iraq and protested but some did. Others protested from Israel. Others protested from America. Others protested from Europe. Comments that were made by the blame America first Democrats are terrible no matter what shore they are made from. They always make for good "sound bites" and give fodder for the enemy.

It really doesn't matter where one protests from when things are said that are not true about the war.

Democrats are willing to lose the war to win the power. That is what is sad.

Here are some names for you to consider:
Al Gore
Bill and Hillary Clinton
Jane Fonda
Howard Dean
John Murtha
Sean Penn
Tim Robbins
The Dixie Chicks
John Conyers JR
Joseph Wilson
Cindy Sheehan
Maxine Waters
John Kerry
Jesse Jackson
Al Sharpton
Louis Farrahkan

Surely you can do better than that?

Two questions: Why is it wrong to protest the Iraq invasion and occupation, regardless if where it's done? And other than Sean Penn, who else on this list protested in Iraq?

I have protested the war, because I feel that it is my patriotic duty to let my leaders know how I feel. I am a life member of the VFW and was in both the Panama invasion and the first Gulf War, so I'm not naively protesting. I think we should be in Afghanistan and should have had that country as our main focus all along, but I never thought we should have invaded Iraq. Why is that wrong to publicly protest?

Also, I hope your friend is doing well after surgery.

Respectfully yours,
Mountain Tider

Nice work dodging the subject. Which ones protested from Iraq? Or should we just consider you a liar instead?
