Respectfully yours, gottfriedSucks President, Gottfired Nation gottfriedSucks on myspace _____________________________________ cmg is my daddy .....cmg is an electrifying coach that can beat you with his Xs and Os. cmg is ultra sharp in the game and virtually impossible to stop in a game plan situation. cmg is the type of coach that can put so much pressure on a defense because of his ability to call a play outside of the box. cmg is also a good motivator that shows all the motivating possible. cmg is a "John Wooden" type of coach and is very exciting to watch. Supercoach Supernotes: -3 winning SEC seasons in 10 years -88-89 SEC record(including SEC Tournament games). -29-80 Road Record. -20-60 SEC Road Record. -25-40 Record against ranked opponents. -1 Regular Season SEC Title. -0 SEC Tournament Titles. -Made it past 2nd round of NCAA only once. -Can't man up and take responsibility when team under performs -Constantly makes BS excuses (see ron steele.) -10 players have transferred away from supercoach in the last 4 years. -Losingest coach in Alabama Basketball History (tied the record w/Clemson loss and will own it soon) |

I have never heard of them called trash pumps. I grew up in Michigan and they were always called sump pumps. Now that I think about it, I wonder why they are called sump pumps.

no, this is a sump pump, and they are called that because you put them in the sump. "We need to understand that there's a guy named (Nick) Saban over at Alabama that came in here and went undefeated" -- Daman Evans, UGA AD |

Is that just a power generator? I did a lot construction crap as an undergrad for cash and never heard it called that. Although I was probably to busy being a "gopher" to have been around when they did.

Now that I see the pic I can't remember what I've always called them, but it wasn't a trash pump. I've primarily used them for removing water from a low spot and am therefore inclined to call it a water pump, but that doesn't sound right either.

Not where I'm from. Your trash pump was our sump pump. Every basement had one because the water table was so high and spring meltoff forced water up through the basement most years. Your sump pump is what we called a sludge pump. Respectfully yours, Mountain Tider Vice President, Gottfired Nation firegottfried petition Gene Chizik was Plan B for Iowa State ... the blue one is a water pump probably known by many names. one hose is required running from the water supply to the side of the pump. the second hose coming out of the top of the pump isn't required but can make for less of a mess and easier drainage when pumping.

I've always called those "farm pumps" because many times farmers will use them to irrigate their farms out of a holding pond.
I guess they could be called a trash pump because maybe any trash that gets sucked in will go through it? ![]() Rest in Peace Julie! “Live every moment of every day to the fullest but remain humble, for we never know when “we” may become one of less fortunate.” ---Me! MySpace page: Link |
