there is spiritual warfare going on all the time. I'm of the opinion you go straight to heaven or hell (depending on your salvation or lack there of) as soon as you die. imo the spirits that are hanging around aren't those of your uncle boby or cousin joe that just haven't "crossed over."

Demons and Angels are paranormal. The calling of Samuel proves the the human soul can be returned to us through paranormal powers. God tells us these powers are dark and evil. Avoid them.

that was my original point. God cursed Saul for conversing with the dead.

Anyway, I am slowly beginning to believe that there may indeed be spirits out there that for some reason or another have not crossed to the other side where they belong. I do not consider them particularly evil...just otherworldly and not belonging here after death. I would be horrified to see one today...although I think I did once a few years ago when an apparition of some sort (appeared to be) standing by my bed one night (other weird happenings as well). I moved from that apartment as soon as possible and it never happened again.

Personally, I do not believe that my beliefs about the paranormal conflict with my basic Christian beliefs about crossing to other side after death and joining God, Jesus and people we have loved here on Earth. But I believe our spirits cross over immediately and that our bodies do not lie in the ground waiting for Jesus to appear (when?) and raise us up.

I saw a figure one night. It was hazy & I just awoke from a dead sleep. It was no more than a yard from where my father died. It did look like him, but hazy. Needless to say I was shook up, but not fearful because I know my daddy would never hurt me. I don't pretend to KNOW just what it was. I do know that I was with him when he passed & tried CPR, but to no avail...I did indeed have a strong emotional attachment to the spot so that could have some connection to the event. I know that the Bible speaks of possession by demonic spirits so I pretty much don't doubt the existence of anything in the spirit world. In short, I believe that there are some things we aren't meant to know or understand. Supernatural is as good a term as any to describe these phenomena. Fear them not for "if God be for us, who can be against us?"

Personally, I've never believed in ghosts and goblins and all that hullaballoo. However, as a Christian, I suppose I should because that's kind of what religion is all about. I guess I believe in Holy Ghosts (angels and demons and such), but not Spooky Ghosts...lol

I do know that I see more apparitions after meeting with Jose Cuervo than Jack Daniels.

My wife made me see that awful movie. Paranormal Activity is a terrible movie. It dosen't conflict with my religious beliefs because there is no such thing as paranormal acivity.
