After the debate I actually agreed with Joe Biden more out of all of the Dems. I'm not a Democrat by any sense of the word, but he at least had some real plans for Darfur and other issues that the others really did not. (boycotting the Olympics would really do nothing)

Thoughts?

I thought it was a good debate. They actually answered the questions they were asked. Biden was good, but I think at this point I like Barak Obama.

What have the Republicans done to stop it? Nothing. They just use it as a wedge issue to get people to vote for them. The Republicans will never outlaw abortion because they will lose one of their major issues that gets them votes. They will continue to say they are against abortion and blame it's existence on "activist" judges. So my question to you is this: You obviously have strong feeling against abortion. Is it not starting to become evident to you that the Republicans only claim to be against it?

Still I ask you: Do you really think the Republicans are truly against abortion?

some... no..

fred thompson and duncan hunter YES! They already both have plans for a constitutional ban in time, with blanket protection for unborn children. Some use it as a way to get votes, like GW IMO, even though I think he is a great president. Fred and Duncan, no. they hate it and have a plan.

Good deal. I wasn't trying to be a jerk or belittle your beliefs. I just don't get why people continue to vote for Republicans primarily because they think republicans are going to do something to stop abortion.

I'm an independent and Biden and the former Alaskan Senator most impressed me. I liked how the Alaskan guy stood up to career politicians who are knee deep in money. My only concern with him is that he exposed a lot of problems but offered few solutions. I think if he were given more time to speak, he would have good solutions though. Overall, I just liked the guy because he is pissed off with the whole system just like me. Biden seemed confident, experienced, and reasonable.

Amongst all candidates, Republican or Democrat, I would have to put Biden as my leader when it comes to those with a legitimate shot. He sparked my interest in the first Democratic debate, and now I really like him. The Alaskan and Republican Ron Paul would be my favorites with no chance to win the nomination. Hopefully I will find a few Republicans I like(who could actually win) in the debate Tuesday.

I was very disappointed in Clinton, Obama, and Edwards. Those are the three big hitters for the Democrats and they all offered much more than we have money to pay for.

Richardson sounded like a bumbling idiot with his proposals for Darfur and illegal immigration. Boycott the olympics? What a fool!!! Also, he is racially biased because in the previous debate, he said that he was reluctant to call for Alberto Gonzalez's job because Gonzalez is Hispanic like himself. I don't think we need a guy who admits to being racially biased in favor of Hispanics in charge of solving our Mexican immigration problems. That would be like putting a coal plant owner in charge of protecting the environment.

Overall, the debate was much more informative than I expected it to be. Wolf and CNN did an excellent job (outside of the microphone failures and unworthy topic of gays in the military).

Abortion is here to stay. If you are voting based on a single issue that cannot be solved by the president, you are wasting your vote and being distracted from the real problems in this country that can be fixed by a president.

It pissed me off when 10 minutes or so of a 2 hour debate was spent on gays in the military. That is so non-important when you are a nation that is 9 trillion in debt, has skyrocketing oil, medical, and college prices, and has lost over 3,000 lives in a current conflict.

It's time to talk about real issues.

Good point...W signed the law banning partial birth abortion (which he promised that he would) but besides that you're right.

I understand that, but abortion has been legal so long that it is basically considered precedent. It would take a huge majority of judges vastly opposed to abortion to ever change that law.

With the country becoming much more socially liberal, and judges having lifetime appointments, the odds are very much against those who want to make abortion illegal.
