I was staying in an old place in London, a little girl woke me up in the night trying to get me to leave. She was really insistent that it was urgent that I leave. She then walked away. I guess it was a dream (sure I was awake though) if it was it was the most vivid dream I've ever had and I've not had one like it before or since.

Oh, I nearly forgot, she was saying "Father get up we have to leave!" I don't have any children.

Sure I have seen plenty. From Bullock county AL to Racine, WI to here in VA. Am not sure, may be all the same, but I doubt it. Am absolutely sure my grandfather is one of them.

i've never actually seen a ghost, but have had a couple of creepy incidents...

my sorority house at alabama is on what is called "first circle"...meaning it was one of the first houses built there....it's not incredibly old, but-it's one of the oldest ones and it's getting up there...

anyway....right after my senior year, about 5 or 6 of us decided to stay in town after exams and go out...i came in early that night, checked in with the house guard on duty that night...i was the only one in the house at t he time...

went to sleep, woke up about 30 minutes later and decided i wanted to go to the basement(the basement had our chapter room, a lounge area, and a small closet sized room with a soft drink and snack machine) to get a coke out of the soft drink machine...

now , i'd lived in my sorority house for two full years at this point.... you can hear everything down there...the first floor rooms all had hard wood floors....you could especially hear all of the chairs dragging around the dining room during dining hours...

so,i'm down there, by myself (and NO i had not been taking drugs or drinking much), and i heard all of the chairs in the dinning room dragging and rattling around...

i ran upstairs, no one was there...the guard was outside...i made him walk through the entire house with me...we were the only people there...

don't know what it was...i just know that i heard a noise that i had heard many times before, but no one was up there....it scared the s##t out of me!!

I bought this old house 8 years ago. Since that time, two of my children and one man have claimed to see a small older woman in this house. My 13 year old woke up last year with this woman staring at him in the face for a few minutes. He was completely terrified. My oldest son and another man said hey saw an older woman looking at them from the stairs and she followed then through the house and back to my son's bedroom.

I have not seen anything but I did take pictures last year and got a room full of "orbs" in the livingroom behind us. If I can figure our how, I will post the picture if anyone cares.

That stuff happens all the time ... especially if you used flash on the shot.

But I'm still very much a skeptic. However, I do believe that our imaginations go into overdrive and play tricks on us when we are in situations that we interpret as 'spooky'.

CrimsonPhoenix:
1) I had almost the same thing happen to me once and never again. My bed started shaking and waking me up for a few nights. Then one night I looked up in a very drowsy state and saw the scariest old woman standing there looking down at me. It made such an impact that I moved from there as soon as possible. You have to experience something like that to believe it. It was very different from a dream.

(2) I took some photographs while on the Gettysburg battlefield. There is something
very unusual in a picture taken at the rock wall where Pickett’s Charge went across and thousands of soldiers were killed. There is a shadowy figure of something that looks like a soldier. You can see his hat and gun even. A newspaper in the town where I used to work published it once. I took it to a photographer and he said that it could possibly be from the sun’s rays – that it could have been the way the camera was angled- not to believe that it was a ghost. But the Gettysburg battlefield is said to be one of the
most haunted places in the U.S. so who knows.

Ive got everyone of you all beat. Me and my bro were visting my grandmother back when we were 16 and 17, and anywho, we were sleeping in the guest room, when my bro tapped me and said.. "WHAT THE F*** IS THAT!" as he pointed to the corner of the room.. it was I guess what they call a shadow person or shadow demon. My bro was trembling uncontrollably, and what did I do.. I charged at it full speed hollering "DIE FU***R!" to which I felt a super cold chill hit me when I hit the wall, and it vanished.. needless to say I KNOW there is a real live evil out there, as that thing had bluish red eyes, so I do an awful lot of praying every night.

Nevertheless, me and my bro dont like to talk about it at all, even to each other. But as for a ghost, give me a ghost any day of the week rather than a black faceless shadow person/demon.

Thank God I dont live in LOSERANA, the cesspool of America!
