We now are faced with the opportunity to return to the pinnacle of college football. We now have a coach who can do it all. The program needs your continued support but if any one of you does anything to get us in trouble with the NCAA again I will personally come to your home and help you to disappear off the face of the Earth. You'll be so gone they'll find Jimmy Hoffa before they find you. I'm sure Phat Phil and all of the other SEC coaches will have one ear to the ground with their other ear glued to the phone waiting to make that one call that will bring it all down.

I think Saban stated it well in his PC - we all have our proper roll and we need to do our jobs in the right way as well. He sure did set the tone didn't he?

I think you are wrong. i think other conference coaches (Fulmer, Tubberville, Meyer, Richt, etc) all respect coach Saban and know they will have to be on there best as coaches and recruiters to compete with him. I think our past coaches (Dubose, Shula) were not in complete control of the program and allowed things to go on that were not good for us and this was reflected by other coaches in the conference. We have a winner now that will do things RIGHT! No backwards behind teh scenes bull crap, no paying players, no asst. coaches bickering, etc........ We have a winner! *** Just Win *** |

Oh, if that only meant that signing a WINNER as Head Coach meant that we could dump the LOSERS in that "Alumni, Boosters, and Friends of the University" group. Unfortunately, they're still going to be hanging around, waiting for something negative to jump on at the first opening.
By the way, Bash Junkies, Coach Saban was addressing YOU when he spoke about "accountability" and "responsibility". I hope you were listening to him explain that you're either making a positive contribution to the program, or... |
