Reasons to pick Ohio State:

1) Jim Trestle is an outstanding coach who has already won a NC

2) They played for the NC the last 2 years

3) They have 16 returning starters from a team who played for the NC

4) They have something to prove, a very powerful driving force for a team

5) Coach Bryant lost a NC in 1971, 1973, & 1974 after being destroyed by Nebraska and beaten twice by Notre Dame. That didn't mean he couldn't still win a NC, which he did in 1978 & 1979.

6) I personally think they will win the NC for the above reasons plus USC lost it's starting QB and the SEC will beat each other up preventing an SEC team from being in the NC game.
