Note to say that Alexander/Nathan/Williams and countless others are close. But to watch the two men run was awe inspiring. I wish we had some backs that ran with the determination that they did.

I think I would certainly have to go with Riddle as my fav. I loved Siran and Shaun and Bobby, but Dennis Riddle had to be the hardest working RB we ever had. What he lacked in talent and speed he made up for with effort and grit and determination. Great but underappreciated RB!
As a kid, I loved listening to the radio and hear the name "Major Olgivie around left end!" He's definitely in the mix...

1. Major 2. Paul Ott Caruth 3. Kerry Goode(he was on his way to being the best ever) 4. Kevin Turner (I Know FB, but I loved the way he could catch a football!!) 5. Bobby H(Also a great speaker)
Ricky Moore or Shaun ... one fb I really liked was Houston - can't remember his first name ... I think his last name was Houston ... he was the fb for the Sugar Bowl against Miami .. I remember one td where he blocked for the running back and he absolutely drove that Marley kid into the next year ... just leveled him like a pumpkin hitting the sidewalk ... that Marley kid was obnoxious ...

I would say Bobby humphery started my love for Bama he was such a great runner. But when Alexander had his great game against LSu it was the first time I had brought my wife home to meet the family and he has been my fav ever since.
Alexander is such a great role modle for the university I don't know if there will ever be another like him.

Great post. Cotton Clark was my first favorite player. I was about 8 or 9 and just loved his name. Johnny Musso became my favorite runner. With those tear away jerseys. But I will always have a special place for Cotton. I am so glad someone else remembers him as well.
