Well one good reason is the pressure that fans put on a Coach...even Steve himself has said that about Alabama in the past. Right now he has all he could ask for, Augusta National, no deadline to make them a contender, and very laid back compared to other places. I think Spurrier's ego will get in the way and he'll want a stab at it though(The UA job)....At least I hope.

I beg to differ, Tuscaloosa/Birmingham would offer him everything he currently has as well as an opportunity to live on the golf course out at North River Yacht club, and only a 45 minute flight to Augusta. I didn't compare. Beside, what local course in Colombo have you mentioned. I said he would have to drive to get to Augusta, and why drive when you can fly. What I said is he could live on the course out at North River. I never said it was compared to Augusta. BS, I don't know any golf courses out here in Columbia or SC for that matter because I have only been here in SC since March...why would he want to play anywhere else than Augusta National...thats about as high as you can go.

Futhermore the last conference championship usc had was in 1969 when they were apart of the acc. Some program they've got their. It would take bill bellicheck to win them a nc. Spurrier know matter how good people claim him to be will never do it at sc.

I honestly think Spurrier knows this and will make a move somewhere this year. He is still losing recruits to Clemson at a fast pace which shouldn't be happening but it is. Lets hope he decides to go West and not South.
