Miami has alot of player personnel issues as well as player personality issues. Spurrier is to far along in his career to become the great disciplinarian.
That job pays better than other state pen guards get around here, but its dangerous in more ways than one.........

There was an interview where he flat out said he was not interested in the Miami job, when asked about alabama his response was something like, "they still have a coach don't they." I would say that if he is talking like that, he is coming to bama if we negotiate with him properly.
I heard from Gator fans that he just never wanted to go to Miami. They also said that Spurrier would find it very hard to leave S.C. since evidently he can go golfing at Augusta National whenever he likes because of S.C. alumnist. Spurrier loves to golf and that arguably the best course in the world. But, I still think that anything is possible.

Who choses a were to coach football by where he can golf, geeze. There are great courses here anyway, and augusta is not that far away either, espeically when you make as much money as he does. Plus, I am sure some of the "friends" of the program wouldnt mind taking a ride with Spurrier to go play golf in their jets.
It has already been reported that at least ONE of the Bama BOT has a membership at Augusta.
So that takes care of that, we can get him in when we need.
Oh, it takes 30 minutes to drive from columbia SC to Augusta, but it only takes 45 minutes to fly from Tuscaloosa to Augusta airport. (see the flight time it took Bryant Jr and NIUA (Bama's Plane0 to fly to Augusta just last week.

Actually BS it takes an hour to drive from Columbia to Augusta....just thought you would like to know...mapquest it if you think I am wrong.

Its called driving on I-20...last time I checked it doesn't have stop signs or Traffic lights.

And so do I...but I won't stoop to swirling crap left and right and saying things that are 100% false at this point...all we can do is speculate and hope Mal and the BOT and Witt(better pray that he can make a right decision) will do the right thing and Hire the Ole Ball Coach.
