I love this place. I moved here to work on a master's degree in history, and there aren't many places more inline with America's past. Not to mention only being 10 minutes from the ocean.

i was born and raised here so when i graduated it was a no brainer to come back. sure the job market is much better in the bigger cities but i have been away from the river/coast for so long that i couldn't wait to get back. I would much rather have a job where driving to work every day I can see the marsh and river instead of the concrete jungle, but different strokes for different folks i guess. Glad to hear you love it here like you said there are very few places that come to mind other then here and charleston that are more inline with America's past.

I worked with Coach Rock at Troy. He will not come to Alabama. He hates Alabama with a passion!
