Am I missing something? Have we not tried to contact Dabo... if not.. someone please explain why we haven't.
I know he is beloved by all players and staff in Clemson. He is an Alabama guy and is Clemson's best recruiter. Why not bring in Dabo as recievers coach co-oc and bring in Major as QB's coach and co-oc. That gives you innvovative fearless playcalling mixed with Dynamic recruiter. Let's face it... great players win more games. Just a thought. |

Agreed - at least on the recruiting part. He is highly-regarded nationally in that respect.

Well it just seems to me that he has a philosiphy about getting guys on his staff that really know how to recruit. He grew up in the Metropilis that is Pelham Alabama, played for the Tide and is well thought of as a coach and is a awesome recruiter. When he was a Tide player he was one of those guys that if you were coach you would want 85 of on your team if you could.

LOL! Good one... and Pelham is 4x as populated as it was in 1988. "I know there's tremendous expectations here. I can tell you that, however you feel about it, I have even higher expectations for what we want to accomplish. I want to win every game we play." - Nick Saban |

You got that right! When I lived there it was much smaller. I grew up in Chandalar South and lived on Dalton Dr. just down the road from Dabo and his family. He was always a pretty cool guy.

Seriously... what in the heck is the fascination with Major Applewhite? He has been coaching for THREE years. THREE YEARS with just one year as an OC.
Dabo is FAR more experienced as a recruiter and offensive coach. |

I knew Dabo growing up; I'm pretty sure the last name is spelled Swinney. Let's check Clemson's site:

Classic Kafer...slip in...drop a bomb....slip out! I know, not fair. You do hang around Kafer and contribute. It is much appreciated. Would love some details, though. |
