It was recently disclosed Bobby Bowden's contract allows him to coach for as long as he wants. I have a friend who's a big FSU supporter and he claims Bowden won't quit until Paterno does because he wants the all time wins record and won't risk JoPa getting it.

Today, in our local paper(Knoxville) it was reported Jimbo's contract has a $2.5mil buyout paid to him if "He's not hired as FSU's coach in 3 years," and it's paid to the university if he leaves before then.

To me, this sounds like Bobby won't coach more than 3 more years. Anyone else read it like that? Of course, at his age and apparent level of mental awareness, maybe 3 years isn't that short a time!

JoePa should not worry Bobby. Joe's wins were in Division 1 Football. A lot of Bobby's were not. Thus, not the winningest football coach in Div 1

I DO think the scandal hasten's Bobby's retirement!

This is where I live

If FSU was caught doing something illegal, will they have to give up some of their wins? If som will this go against Bowden and make it almost impossible for him to catch Joe Pa? Just wondering.
