I'm sure paying the credit card off was the least of their worries at that point. I'm not promoting credit card theft, obviously, but the kid was probably 18 or 19 years old and he made a bad decision. He's not a violent criminal or anything. Give the kid a break. The parents probably didn't even have to pay the credit card off if they had theft protection.

yeah, well to assume common criminals and scumbags like hornsby should be doing jobs that soldiers do everyday is offensive. as a soldier you don't want somebody like that around you anyway.

Wow finally, someone with a little compassion. By reading this thread I'm beginning to think that no one here has ever made a mistake or did something illegal (whether you got caught or not is not the point). Most teenagers do stupid stuff (including you and probably your children). Personally, I just want to minimize my own childerens error so they don't have to endure the consequences for the remainder of their lives, while allowing them to learn from their mistakes.

Now I am not saying that we should recruit this young man; however, he should not be discriminately punished by others who do not truly have any place within his life.

Personally, I wish him the best and hopes that he becomes a productive member of our society and if CNS decides that this kid is worthy of a chance within our program then I will accept him like any other recruit.

in this media age of rampant speculation and mindless chatter, its extremely difficult to run a program. yesterday fans here were calling out CNS for offering this kid with no reason, just hearsay of some recruiting website or that egotistical kid mouthing off. and then a gator idiot comes up and basically calls our coach selfish. ya'll need to chill a bit and not given in to trolls or random gossip.
