The one simple, yet so vitally important language in the SEC 3-way tiebreaker rule that is not in the Big 12 3-way tiebreaker rules:
Big 12's final factor is: "The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative." While the SEC was insightful and forward-looking enough to include: "...unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game." Another reason why the SEC is light years ahead of all other conferences in all aspects of college football. "When the clock ticks down to 0:00 on future Iron Bowls, there will be nothing left to do but I.D. the Auburn bodies." |

I would like a better tie breaker. Something like have the kickers start kicking at the 20 and move back five yards until someone misses. Or the SGA presidents playing beer pong. Either would be better.
Relentless. |

i read the other day about the sec ruling on this and it was worded like this: in a 3 way tie the lowest ranked team is dropped and the 2 remaining teams use the head-to-head match up. basically the same but........
