ok, folks, now that the hiring process is over, let's discuss expectations. Saban basically said that it's gonna take a couple of years to build a championship team.
expect a better product on the field next year, but it's gonna take a couple of years to "dominate our opponents." it's coming for sure. but, this year may not be high times in T-town though. we'll need to have patience b/c i'm confident this thing is going to change dramatically -- in a couple of years. thoughts? Anyone who watched the Press Conference, has to have a GOOD DAMN feeling about being a Tide fan. Everyone should be excited ! Roll Tide Roll!

Offense will be fine ... Defense has some serioius questions and holes to fill. If we can fill those holes in two years, we'll look good. If not then it might be 4 years before we really power back. |

i agree that we have a lack of quality depth on D. perhaps we can hide some of that depth with the type of D he likes to run. it's very aggressive. unfortunately we only have one cover corner returning. Simeon will be really good next year, but you have to have the ability to play man in his D. AUBSESSION |

He also said that he has not analyzed our roster.
I think he will find that there is quality talent, which is not something he had at Michigan State. He did have some talent at LSU that he utilized quickly. I suspect the same thing will happen here. But I would agree that to achieve USC caliber will take a couple of years. |

With this guy, there will e improvements from the first game to the last each season. Also, there will be improvements from year to year.
I believe that we have 8 or 9 wins in 07. I believe that we challenge for the SEC in 08. I just want that good ol' feeling back...the one, we as fans, used to have that we CAN win. This year, what I felt before every game, was that we could very easily lose.

We will WIN with Saban being the coach because he will surround himself with quality people. That feeling you had should be gone.We may not win every game but we will know we have a chance to win every SATURDAY.
