No, I did not graduate from Alabama. Nor was I born in the State of Alabama. But I have been a Bama fan since before most of you were born. So if I followed Broctune's logic, you are all Johnny come latelys to me.

Broctune, I used to think you were a pretty cool guy from reading your posts over the past couple years. But from the posts you have made over the last couple weeks, I have lost a lot of respect for you.

Congrats, StuBone. Don't you wish these jerkoffs that didn't even go to Bama would find another team to cheer for and start posting on another site?

I did not ... but only because family circumstances placed in in another state where in-state tuition was the difference. I have been a life-long fan of Bama (I first remember the '71 season) and have pulled for them against my alma mater. I have had season tickets for the last three seasons and have been at all of the home games.

If that means I am not welcome here, I'll gladly bow out ...

I feel your pain, brother. I was faced with the exact same problem. Did 2 years at Tennessee-Chattanooga (Mechanical Engineering), then joined the Navy when the money ran out and I couldn't get a scholarship.

I graduated from Bama in the (ahem) late '70s...but my parents shelled out most of the money.
I don't think it matters whether you graduated from there or not to be a fan. Many people in the state were unable to afford college, and every taxpayer in Alabama has a huge stake in the university.

Grow up everybody.

This is not about that (for me). This is about people that didn't calling people that did Auburn or Tennessee fans.

Attended 2 yrs (83 - 85), dropped out to join the Air Force. Would love to have finished through Bama, but they still don't offer a very good selection of degrees via distance education. Either way, I live for Saturdays and visit BDS every chance I get. Roll Tide!!!

I am proud to be a Bama graduate. Not that it gives me any special insight as a football fan.

Bite me, you elitist *****.

I didn't graduate from Alabama, or any other University. However, I've done quite well for myself in life, and a significant portion of my money has gone to the University through my direct contributions in order to buy tickets, and indirectly through merchandise purchases, etc.

I'm 40 years old, was reared to be a Bama fan from birth, and hurt as badly or worse as you do when we lose, and feel the same or more elation as you do when we win.

However, I don't feel the need to futher present my bona fides as a Tide fan to a ****head like you.

I am willing to bet losses do not affect broctune as badly as they do you. Not sure what that guy's problem is with non-grad fans but it's truly ignorant.

Been a member for a while but never post but this post offended me. Born an Alabama fan. I live in Georgia now so I got my Degree and Graduate Degree in Georgia. All three of my brothers played at Alabama in the late 70’s. I meet Coach Bryant on several occasions had my picture taken with him at age 11. Two of my brothers had career ending knee injuries and the third had over 300 yards rushing and scored 3 touchdowns while backing up Steve Whitman in 1979. He also was the leading rusher with 87 yards against Vanderbilt. I go to A club meetings regularly. I’m 44 years old and consider myself an old time Alabama fan. Broctune I don’t need to be “OK in your book”.
