Wow, more elitist drivel, this time from a poster I've always respected.

I did not attend any institution of higher learning. And, believe it or not, I am gainfully employed, with all the trappings that an upper middle class income affords in the United States. In fact, that's why I don't post here as much as I'd sometimes like. I'm too busy.

I don't understand why my lack of advanced education prevents me from being "ok" in your book.

It ceases to amaze me as to how some people are judged in this world.

If you haven't graduated from somewhere you would be disliked????? WOW!

I dont understand that either...even if someone DIDNT graduate from somewhere, be it college or high school, that's what determines if someone is "ok" in your book Cap? If thats true, then your book don't mean s*** to me. My dad barely graduated high school and never stepped foot in a college. He's an awesome man, a DIE HARD BAMA FAN, and he makes more money in a quarterly bonus than most people's yearly salary. I've always enjoyed your posts Cap, but I think you need to re-think this one!

I don't post much because of the little free time I have between work and raising a family, but Brocturd's post got under my skin.
My congrats to all that have had the Great Honor of graduating from The University of Alabama...My hats of to all of you.
It was my plan coming out of High School to attend Alabama, but to make a long story short, it didn't work out. At the time, getting a job and contributing to the family was more important, and I have been working ever since. Now I am making the kind of money that let's me afford season tickets, S.E.C championship tickets (been to 3), bowl game tickets, etc. I have plans to attend The University of Alabama once my children go to college, (one is seeking a cheerleading scholorship, the other golf) I can't wait to finally graduate, this way, at the young age of 45, according to Brocturd, I will finally be a "legit" Bama Fan.

I did a report in school on Bear Bryant when I was 10 years old and I have been a fan ever since. I grew up in Memphis, TN and had to fight of the constant mouthing from UT fans my whole life, but I held my own. I grew up in a household that loved the Memphis Tigers, and I was sitting in the stands with my family back in the 80's when Bama beat them, and I was wearing crimson and white proudly, I was probably 12.

NO ONE No one dictates to me what kind of fan I am. I will be a Crimson Tide fan until they bury me (in my #1 1992 National Champion jersey) My kids were raised Bama fans, and I haven't missed a game in person or on t.v. since I was 16, even on the day I was married, we made sure it was scheduled on an off week. So, feel lucky you were in a wonderful position to graduate from such a great institution, but don't judge the loyalty of us guys from "the school of hard knocks"

So to Brocturd, Go to H311, to everyone else....
ROLL TIDE ROLL !! 24/7

To those who have graduated from UA,my congradulations to you. For those of us who weren't able to for whatever reason,I say thank you for being the fan you are and keep up the support. Now for those that feel otherwise so be it. I'm a fan of UA and will stay on this site for as long as I wish. Now if anyone wants to question my love for UA and my feelings for Bama,we can clear that matter up most tic.

My father is one of the greatest Alabama fans I have ever seen or known. He went to UA for one semester and was too broke to go any further so he joined the Army and subsequently went and flew helicopters in Vietnam. He worked his rear-end off so that my brother and I would be able to go to college. My bro graduated from USA in 1993 and got a Masters from AU in 1995 (my mom had to write the checks). I made pops happy by attending Alabama 1993-1997 graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering. I love Alabama and UA Sports...but not as much as my father. He tells the stories of him and the 'Bama men listening to news reports in Vietnam to see if they can find out if Alabama or Auburn won and who was winning the title.

i went to bama in 97. but endied up graduating from UAH. My old man got his PHD and my mother got her masters from bama, so the ties run deep. My father tells a story (not sure if its true) that i got to meet bear in 81. i was 2 so of course i dont remeber, but the way i look at it i have to be a fan. its the right thing to do, the god fearing american thing to do. kidding on the last part, but only a little.

No because I joined the military right out of highschool and has been in ever since.

Most people here believe that you have to attend or have attended the University of Alabama in order to be a true fan.

If that was the case, our fanbase wouldn't be as large as it is today.

Why don't you guys stop worrying about whether a person graduated from the University or not, and start worrying about why people like you are the laughing stock of the SEC, because of you're ignorant elitist attitude.

Then tell these idiot non-grads to stop calling Alabama grads Aurburn or Tennessee fans.

which ones, you got names? graduates,as well as non grads also do this.don't see anyone flaming them. i have seen it countless times, but have never done it,nor do i get involved in it.
