Yesterday, on ESPN, he (and i quote) said, "I'm proud and support our military....what they do is ALMOST as important as what we do on the field"

if anyone has the clip of this, please post it, he probably misspoke but what a DA

Why is someone always trying to find "fault" with Tim Tebow????

If you don't like UF, that's fine!! Tim Tebow is a very smart, solid young man. A great QB too!!!

Get over him.

People try to find fault with Tebow because he is a Christian that professes his faith. Most people attack this because of their own personal convictions. The truth is no one is perfect and Tebow doesn't claim to be. I have met him and he's spoke to my youth and he is the real deal.

The only one he cares about judging him is the Lord God and it is His opinion that matters.

Ironically many of Bama's players are very complimentary of Tebow and call him, "the Real Deal." It is sad to think that we are so hypocritical as to attack this young man when we'd have loved to have him in Crimson and White.

In the end everyone is judged, be sure you understand this.

I agree that Tebow seems to be a very nice young man with a great love for the Lord. However, I think most people (myself included) rant about him not because of his personal life, or even his skills on the field. It is the constant media hype surrounding him. You cannot sit through any college football show without his name being mentioned. You would think that he invented the position of quarterback. I respect him as a player, but this constant brown-nosing by the media is stomach churning.

Has nothing to do with his faith.

There is a Tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life, Is bound in shallows and in miseries.

I'm grateful he is given the opportunity to witness and share his faith.

Criticism of Tebow should be appropriate and fair and with the recognition that we would appreciate the same for one of our own.

Examples of constructive Tebow criticism:

After he won his first national championship with UF and said, "the greatest decision he ever made was to go to Florida." As a Christian, choosing UF was not his greatest decision. He since redeemed himself mightily after the last championship and Heisman ceremony.

After the Georgia game Tebow stated, "we weren't doing anything that they weren't" which is also inappropriate.

Recognizing the scrutiny on Tebow, rest assured his family and pastor closely advise him on making sure he doesn't hurt his witness.

There are too many poor role models out there for everyone not support the positive ones.

Tim Tebow is in fact a fine young man but not perfect (all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God) and I pray that he will continue to be blessed in many ways; however I hope that he does not have the blessing of UF beating Alabama if Bama wins the west and plays in the SECCG.

Most of the bashing he gets from Tide.Sports forum members is undeserved.
