Why is the Bryant scholarship a factor? My understanding is that it counts againt the 25/85 rule if they are recruited as an athlete. Am I confused?

I also thought schollys like the Bryant scholly counted towards the 25/85 if they played football (or any other sport).

The bryant scholarship does count against the 85 limit and he does not have to sit a year.

the bryant scholarship is awarded to males or females who's parents/grandparents played or coached for Coach Bryant. It is not an athletic scholarship.
But as it is "institutional aid," the recipient only counts toward the 25/85 if or when the recipient participates in a game. So neighbors will not count until he sees playing time, probably 2 years from now.
