He certainly has more personality than Applewhite. Let's hope the players play harder for him. I think with a more experienced OL, the loss of attitude among two receivers who just left, a better offensive system, a healthy Terry Grant, and great young players coming in that our new OC has to have a sense of excitement about him. Of course, he is also a realist -- conceding that we have some very tough road games this year.

That's putting it mildly. He was really fired up talking to his offensive unit during the A day game. Caldwell also made comments about how Coach Mac really inspired the whole team, not just the offensive players, during the 4th qtr program. I like Major and all but I really believe that Mac is going to put a much better offensive team on the field this fall.
If you are not fired up about the upcoming season then you must be cheering for another team. Goodness, I am so glad that this weekend is finally here. Now we can say, "Football season begins next month." Vacation is just about over for the staff and it's back to work, for sure. RTR
