He also updated on the status of a league-wide media policy aimed at getting more access to players and coaches. A workgroup has been assigned to hammer out a policy.

Speaking as a member of the print media, one of our main issues is that we want to be able to talk to any student-athlete who appears in a game, including freshmen. If a coach trusts a player (freshman or otherwise) enough to put him on the football field, he should be able to trust him enough to answer questions about it.

Ultimately, more access for us means more information for you. We can best serve our readers and patrons when we can talk to those who play and coach the game.

Is this initative partly due to CNS since his arrival at the Capstone?

Saevick! Come on chief, we respect you for being honest about the two programs, you know as well as everyone else that actually listened to what was said that he didn't call anyone coonasses but was repeating, as part of a story, what someone else said.

I agree that coaches take jabs at each other, and that what I pointed out is a minor detail, but there is a difference in the two. Now go find where Saban really took a jab, I'm positive it's there. Wink

man give it up. he called LSU fans coonasses and laughed about it. who cares? I know I don't but you should accept it and stop making lame excuses. Both coaches get a little enjoyment taking shots at the other coach, school and fans and both have been just as guilty as the other one. Just laugh about it and enjoy SEC football.

Oh come on, Saban never said anything about THE TEAM or THE COACH, Miles sure as hell did. Big difference in my opinion. Quit saying it was all in good fun, you know as sure as hell it wasn't. I found it funny he would not repeat what he said but instead lavished all this praise. Give me a break. Whether or not it was said to a bunch of alumni is not the point. Do you think your reaction would have been the same if the roles were reversed? I think not.

Did you actually listen to the recording? This sounds like you are just regurgitating something you read on tigerdroppings.
