One of my friends who's on the Florida State defensive staff says it could happen and that he might be coming with Steele. Im waiting on him to call my dad back when he finds something out
In the grand tradition of Miami bowl-week boasting, Marley declared the run-oriented Crimson Tide "one-dimensional" and took exception to Alabama's claim (and the NCAA rankings that support it) as the nation's best defense.
Marley wasn't through. He said Penn State, not the undefeated Crimson Tide, was the best team he has seen this season. And then, with a scowl on his face, Marley predicted an easy Sugar Bowl victory at the Superdome in New Orleans.
-Miami linebacker Micheal Barrow said he saw no need to get into a war of words with Alabama players. He promptly added that the Hurricanes' defense, not the Crimson Tide's, was the best in the nation because of Miami's quality of opponents.
Saban did say he was going to target some of his former LSU assistants, and Jimbo was one of them he would talk to. He also mentioned looking at the current staff to see if there was anyone already here that he wanted to keep.
Although from his mannerisms, it looked like he didn't think anyone already here would make the cut.
Did anyone notice how he also talked about how he had to get BETTER PLAYERS here? Toldja Shula's recruiting was overhyped.

He did not say that!! You are putting words in his mouth and this is how rumors get started. He never said that he would talk with Jimbo. And he didn't say he would target his former staff members.
Not to call you out,and I hope he will talk to Jimbo, especially after last night. But, he didn't say those things!

IF Steele is coming then Jimbo will not come and must have been promised the FSU job once BB retires. I had heard Steele was in line for the FSU HC position so he wouldn't leave unless he knew he wouldn't be considered.
It would make for interesting wrinkle in the UA/FSU game next year. Being in Savannah, I'm not privy to soem of the news -- why is the game being played in Jacksonville instead of Tallahassee? Not complaining -- the wife and I will be making that short trip down I-95.
