Finally, a problem at who is gonna start. Seems like we haven't had that kind of problemm for quite awhile.

Roll Tide!

If you're gonna go, go all the way, if you're gonna stay, stand your ground, if you can't run with the big dogs, big dog let me walk you out, if you can't lead let me by you, if you won't follow get out of the way, you're taking up space. "Van Zant"

At RB it really depends on what set they start out in. Grant and Coffee will be co-starters so it really doesn't matter. Hanks will be first in the slot. Everything else I would agree with on O. On D... I think Reamer starts the first game. I'm kinda thinkin Know freshman starters in the first game. but we'll see!

So long as he is uninjured and obeys team rules, Julio Jones will start every game for Alabama for the 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons. In 2012, he goes 1st round in the NFL draft as a junior, placing in at least the top 3 of Heisman voting, depending on how well the next generation of Bama QB's is after JPW.

You can mark that one down...

L-R: Smith, Johnson, Caldwell, M. Davis, D. Davis. Nothing to the contrary of this has been reported. All 3 frosh (Love, Boswell, Jones)appear to be 2nd team, with Motley and likely Vlachos.
TE: Walker with McCall joining in 2 TE sets.
QB: JPW, McElroy as back-up/mop-up
RB: Grant and Coffee platoon, Ingram looks like he will see reps. Upchurch appears to be slipping off the radar.
WR: Appears to be McCoy and Jones, with Maze in the slot.
Next up in the slot are Scott and Hanks, split out are Stover, Alexander, and Gibson - any news on Chris Jackson?
KR/PR: Arenas and probabaly Maze 2nd, possibly Scott
----------------------
DL: Washington, Greenwood, and Deaderick. Cody in 4 DL sets. Cody could bypass Washington. McCullough and Chapman I think see a lot of action as well, and I see Dareus coming on.
LB: McClain, Fanney, C. Williams, and I think Hightower takes Reamer's spot
Upshaw, Watkins, Kirschman, and Anders see time
DB: Jackson, Johnson, Arenas, Woodall. Probably Barron at "Star" in nickel sets. Lawrence, Sharrief also see time.
K: Tiffin, C. Smith might be a KO specialist.
P: Fitzgerald
------------------
Contributing Freshmen (in order of influence):
J. Jones, D. Hightower, T. Cody, M. Barron, M. Ingram, BJ Scott, C. Upshaw, A. Lawrence, M. Dareus, J. Harris, T. Love, C. Smith, C. Jackson

I think the rest are definite redshirts, and Smith, Love, and Jackson could RS on above list. Some others not on the list may see signifcant coverage roles on special teams, which could include Lester, Neighbors, etc.

Pretty close. The only things I can add are that:
1.McCoy, Julio and Alexander are the main wideouts and Hanks is the #1 slot guy (of course this is dependant on the formation).
2.On DL look for Washington, Cody, Chapman, Greenwood, and Deaderick to be the main guys. Whoever starts really won't mean that much because they will change personel groupings alot.
3.At LB Anders and Reamer will prob end up starting, with Hightower playing alot.

Love won't start right away.

Maze will start game 1.

John Parker Wilson's final 2 drives resulted in a fumble and an interception...at first I was like "WTF?" Then I LOL'd.

I think that's right. The fact that Love is a left tackle behind Smitty is a sign that staff feels great about the starting O-Line.

I agree on Maze.

I'm still confused about the linebacker corps. It appears that LB is going to be a soft spot. Hopefully someone will emerge as a solid starter, and when Prince Hall returns we will have some depth at that position.
