In order to get thing rollin again 3 things must happen:

(1) The SHULA influence on these players must go away.
(2) Leave SABAN alone & he'll get the job done within the next 3 yaers.
(3) Get rid of Mal Moore & the Board of Trustees. We need new leadership at the top.
Once these steps are taken, the "FOOTBALL GODS" will once again smile on the Crimson Tide!

Sir: How in the world can you blame Coach Saban for the players that he inherited? They have a poor attitude, no leadership,no discipline imposed for, at least, four years, plus poor confidence/inconsistency. This is one of the worst graduating classes in Alabama history. Coaches can do many things, but they cannot do miracles with such players, sadly, In time, with his own players, Coach Saban will give us a great team that we are all proud of--champions. Don't forget Bear had only one more win than loss his first year. I believe and trust in Coach Nick Saban. Alabama is lucky to have him as our coach. Roll Tide! Iowa Tider.

It is amazing how the season has taken such a drastic turn. I really think the 5 players being suspended since the UT game has taken a toll. Coffee and the two lineman would have helped in the Monroe game. We needed them for those short yardage situations. The game still would have been ugly, but Bama would have been victorious with those players. I don't know if it would have helped in the State game. We were warned at the beginning of the season that it was not going to be easy. It is hard to say this again and again, but we have to be "patient". There is no doubt we have talent comeing in. Let's beat AU, win our bowl, have an awesome signing and we will be on our way. Saban did not turn LSU around overnight.

"Winners never cheat, cheaters never win!" Those 5 suspended players knowingly cheated and got what they deseserved. God forbid another coverup that has gotten us where we are now "FOOTBALL HELL"!

That's absurd! We should be able to beat ULM with Snow White's players, and there are only seven of them! Roll Eyes

Look, this is still his first year and I know everyone was on cloud 9 hoping for the SEC Champ. but lets keep it real. I am as disappointed about the LAM loss as any fan, but we need to be fair to the players who haven't even had a whole year under this new staff. Be patient, hell we've waited since '92 for the Nat, Cham. and 99 for the SEC; just keep the faith.

On a positive note, an Iron Bowl win puts us at 7-5 and in a bowl game. A loss pretty much eliminates us from the bowl picture. On an even better note, expect a lot of freshmen to make an impact in 2008 with a few more wins coming the Tide's way. Keys to victory? Play better, more sound football. Period.

How the hell can this coach compare a football game loss to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor?

Has this idiot lost his mind?

The bottom line is Alabama sucks and that’s it!

What I don't understand is... IF the recuits he has to work with are SO bad then HOW did he almost(and should have) beat the GREAT players he recuited at LSU???? Seems to me he is getting out coached.

We lost to who. So it would be fair to say that we will be lucky if we don't lose by double digits much less make it a close game. We will be lucky if we even get to go to a bowl game.

How many of you saw the Troy University and Middle Tennessee game last night. Did you get to hear ESPN’s halftime report where one of the main topics was what Nick Saban said about when bad things happen some good seems to come from it? He used 911 and Pear Harbor as examples to compare to ULM and Mississippi State losses. Give me a break. How can it be that The University of Alabama and Nick Saban are always under a microscope on everything that happens and is said? I will say it again. The reasons they take shots at UA and Saban are they know a giant is about to wake.

It was not a wise thing to say. Say what you will about the awkwardness of Shula, but he had more sense(and decency)than to make such an inappropriate remark. We deserve better for our $4 mil, in so many ways.
