Does anyone feel that we could have a QB transfer? After watching the amount of playing time that Greg McElroy and Nick Fanuzzi got (or did not get) last year and with the arrival of Star Jackson and the pending arrival of AJ McCarron I am predicting that someone will opt out for more playing time.

Question:
What do you think?

Choices:
McElroy will transfer
Fanuzzi will transfer
Both will transfer
Both will stay

McElroy would have to go to a smaller school to play right away. he only has 2 years left I think. If he wants to play he might have to consider it

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I don't personally think any of them will transfer.
A solid football program always has QB's at every grade level.
Wilson - Senior
McElroy - Junior
Fanuzzi - Freshman (and yes, he did get his medical redshirt)
Jackson - Redshirt
McCarron - Redshirt.
Either of the two remaining redshirts can be activated in the event of injury to other players.
QB's are like pitchers. You can never have too many.

Fanuzzi, now officially a Redshirt-Freshman, will not see the field unless it's a blowout or we get a QB injury situation worse than the year Brodie and Spencer Pennington both separated their shoulders. NF should think about transferring.

McElroy would be the best option as an immediate backup should anything happen to JPW.

From the negative press I've been reading about McElroy, I would say Fanuzzi-da-uzzi has an equal if not better chance at playing before him.

After watching A-day, I personally would prefer at least one of them just leave because I had rather the battle be between Star Jackson and AJ McCarron.

After watching A-Day, I just hope and pray nothing happens to JPW during the season. Smiler

Fill me in about the negative press. I haven't heard a peep about McElroy lately.

I don't think every QB that doesn't start wants to transfer. Some just like playing for Alabama, the college experience and the education. Not everyone has the NFL in their long term plans.

Can't see McElroy transferring. At this time, he is only one snap away from going in.
