By the time the second touchdown came around he had to look at his wife and ask what had happened. He could barely stand up. To make matters worse, the more he drank the more beligerant he got. Several families w/ kids had to get up and leave.
When I encounter this problem, especially when there are children present, I confront the person, and if necessary find security to deal with it. Such a lack of consideration for others shouldn't be tolerated. Neither your grandfather nor mine would have allowed some drunken blowhard to act offensively in public and until we start addressing this kind of nonsense it will only get worse.

ITA. If you want to get drunk around other people then make sure you go to a place where EVERYBODY is drunk. Otherwise, you are going to look like an idiot. My favorite saying when I see a coworker after the office party, "You are not nearly as funny as you think you are when you get drunk." Really makes them think. LOL. RTR!!!!!

I was sitting near a drunk fan in Awbarn once that was smoking and blowing the smoke in the faces of a young boy and his mother. I signaled security and he was escorted away. He was so drunk that one push and he would have fell down the entire flight of stairs.

I took a passed out drunk guy's sister and girlfriend to parties on campus in Starkville once after Bama beat Miss Stake. That was a wild night.

Don't confront a drunk. You can't reason with them. That's what security gets paid to deal with. They get to bash a head or two as well, so they get their jollies.
Recall going to Sixers games in the 70's at the Spectrum. Dudes behind us were toking away so much that the whole section had a second hand buzz. Looked for the rent-a-cops. They were all down at the first row, upper level, watching the game. Made the Sixers refund my remaining tickets.
