What's all the hubbub about this shrimp running back the Barn got a committment from? (At least, I think it's the Barn. He said University of Auburn. Is that in Michigan?)
Michael Dyer is listed by Scout as 5'-10" 195lbs. That means he is really 5'-7" 175lbs.
What a joke. Good luck with that Chiznik! Can't wait to see some SEC linebackers break a foot off in this dude.

FWIW - Little Rock Christian Academy is a 5A school in Arkansas. The divisions in Arkansas go up to 7A. The competition/talent in Arkansas at that level is probably less than what you would see in the middle to lower divisions of Tennessee and the lower divisions of Texas/Florida/Georgia. I am surprised he has garnered as much attention as he has. Remember Mitch Mustain the bench-warmer at USC who transferred from Arkansas after being the #1 hs qb? His school was a 7A program I think so two divisions above Dyer's school.
5'8 205 lbs. seems like he'd be hard to see behind the offensive line and would still be tough to tackle. Scout and Rivals spend an exponential amount of time more than we do judging these high school kids on their talent, so I think they know what their talking about if they rank him a top 3 running back.
Remember how we all felt when Trent Richardson committed to us? This is what Auburn was feeling like then.

Did they yawn and scratch their butt? Because that's what I did when I heard about Dyer.

All I can say is it isn't February yet. He may be going Hawg wild after the barns season ends in the Motor City Bowl or whatever lame bowl they get invited to. I know scout spends a lot of time evaluating these kids but I for one am not worried about a 5* RB that doesn't have a line that can block for him for the next 3 years. If the barn pins their hopes on this kid sorry not gonna help them. One more final thing is high school is different than college and this kid could be completely overrated.
