I usually try to stay away from replying to you dd4bama but sometimes it is really hard. If you don't get a thrill from ticking people off then what is the point in posting stuff that ticks people off ALL OF THE TIME? I'm not opposed to people who have different opinions but there comes a point when maybe you should step away from the keyboard and not say EVERYTHING that comes to mind. Arguing with you is a no win battle. No one will win because forums are for opinions and each person has a different opinion on just about every aspect of Alabama football. I'm sorry that "WE" bothers you but you know what its not gonna stop so just stop commenting on it and wasting forum space. If you think next year is the year for Alabama then maybe you should just come back next year.

Its really quite simple dd.

Here is an example: You have a glass that will hold 16 oz of liquid and currently contains 8 oz. An optomist would say that the glass is half full, a pessimist would say the glass is half empty. When questioned on why he says the glass is half empty rather than half full the pessimist responds by saying "I'm a realist" when in all actuality his statement is no more factual than that of the optimist.

DD you are not a realist you are a pessist. The optomist enjoys the 50 yard run, the pessimist points out that he did not score.

RTR!

I love 50-yard runs, whether they score or not.

What I don't love are fans that see a 50-yard run and make declarations that Alabama's RBs will be all SEC and "run over" all these teams because of that one run. This is illustrative, so don't get literal on me.

Find the difference.

The fact that my opinions piss you off is directly related to the fact that they are usually more pragmatic toward Alabama, and NOT to any moivation by me to arbitrarily seek these responses for some stupid thrill.

Actually your opinions don't bother me at all(they aren't mine). What bothers me is when you blatantly post things to tick people off, "the weekly letdown topic"?? Tell me posting that in a sport's forum will not tick people off.

Honestly, that is no different from me posting thread say "You all are stupid" and then hiding behind the fact that it was my opinion. It's not your opinion that bothers people, in fact there are likely a good number who agree. Heck, even I agree on some of your points. But, trolling is trolling whether or not you are right.

This isn't you, this is how you see yourself. Your Jahari window has a huge blind spot.

One of your biggest faults is taking one comment regarding any topic and coloring all Bama fans (other than yourself of course) with that brush and calling it rediculous. Its all just somebody's opinion until it comes to pass. It doesn't matter who was wrong or right, for the fanatics it matters who has the most fun and enjoys the season.

You strive to avoid letdown instead of enjoying the moment.

I'm trying to figure out the source of responses like yours.

Because he brings something of value to the table. Your whining and need for attention are agrivating. Nobody likes you. Take your ball and go home.

dd4bama could sue A. A. Milne for unauthorized use of a personality when he created Eeyore. If Milne had permission, he would have named the character ddyorebama.

By the way, does anybody really believe that he truly is that negative? I am sure he just gets his jollies taking a contrarian position on all things positive.

Most of us can use a dose of reality every so often, but the constant downer stance is pure Pooh!

Yeah I believe that now, especially after a great topic like this... Roll Eyes

If you are this desperate for attention, just go to a retirement home with shiny things strung around your neck. Old people love shiny things.

The bottom line is this...you like people that share your views, and dislike those that don't. There's no place for that on an open opinion forum.

thats funny, do you actually read the board, many people on here post differing views. Some think Star will never play QB, others think he will be playing a lot by end of year, some think the defense needs help, others show up stats from last year and say they will be fine. Everyone on here does not share the same opinion and views, they just dont get on here and preach the same doom and gloom on every thread they can get themselves into. And when they do, they dont force that opinion down our throats. You have been told this time and time again, you just dont seem to get it, it isnt what you say that rankles people so much, it is your delivery method. If you just posted something, and left it open for discussion, people would discuss it. But you make a declarative statement, and anyone that disagrees with you drinks 'crimson koolaid' or says we will go unbeaten, or so much other stuff, when the majority arent saying that. But you also try and squash anyones optimism they might have after seeing recent games and such. We get it, you had your feelings hurt in 2000, but that is like saying, my first girlfriend cheated on me, so all girls will cheat and i should just not try anymore.

From time to time I do agree with you DD but Crimson Reign just normally has much better post nothing personal.

Not only are you not here to be liked. You're also not here to offer anything positive to our program.

I hear the barners are accepting fan applications, go turn yours in.

Again you still aren't talking football. But continue to dig your hole by replying to this non-football related thread on the forum where you "just want to discuss football."

And many times over I have stated how I agree with things you say, just not the was you say it.

DD, you say you want an open forum where you can express your views--no matter how negatively you think nor how caustically you express them. On the other hand, you jump on people who express opinions that are "too positive" in your opinion.

If you want an open forum, quit jumping on others whose opinions differ from yours. And two, drop the caustic nature of your comments. I do not agree with those who say Bama will win a NC this year but I do have hope for winning the west this year. I know that what they say is "unlikely" but it is not offensive to me--as it seems to be to you. When someone (like you) says that if we have one injury, then it is all over, I consider that just as unlikely a scenario. But when you talk about the optimistic side and how "stupid" their remarks are, I find that offensive. I want to believe in my team and take a "subjective" view of my teams chances to win without someone yelling, "that is just stupid," over and over in an attempt to control how optimistic one can be on this forum.
