between an Alabama grad/fan that is a realist in his/her predictions in discussions and debates, but supports the school/program 100%, attends games, cheers loudly, and hopes for a win every single minute of every single game,

AND

an Alabama fan/grad that does all that but is cheery and rosy about predictions on message boards, and in discussions and debates?

In my opinion, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

If you have to ask the question then you obviously won't understand the answer...

The difference is you aren't realistic. You are pessimistic. How can you support the program 100% if you are constantly talking about how bad they are? There is no way a person hopes for a win every single minute while spreading gloom and doom every minute as well. The difference you spoke about... you're right there is no difference, but not so fast - because you don't fall into either category. You are what I term a hypocrite and a child that craves attention.

DD, you should be like Santa Claus, spreading cheer and goodwill at all times, no matter what, to all the earth forever and ever no matter the sanctions or recent program performance. Aight?

Well........bye.

I know. It's nonsense. The truth is, there is no difference other than people's personal likes/dislikes.

Crimson Reign has over 20,000 posts. You don't say that about him. Why? Because you like what he says.

I'm trying to figure out the source of responses like yours.

Yeah I believe that now, especially after a great topic like this... Roll Eyes

If you are this desperate for attention, just go to a retirement home with shiny things strung around your neck. Old people love shiny things.

The bottom line is this...you like people that share your views, and dislike those that don't. There's no place for that on an open opinion forum.

Actually your question should be:

What is the difference between a realistic fan, who supports his team. however has more pessimistic views concerning the team's quick development. Posts his true feelings about predictions and other things concerning his team.

and

The fact that my opinions piss you off is directly related to the fact that they are usually more pragmatic toward Alabama, and NOT to any moivation by me to arbitrarily seek these responses for some stupid thrill.

dD, usually you either want to tell everyone you are a Bama grad, and support the program, and at the same time try and ruin the expectations of a good season for the optimistic fans.....everyone knows you are a grad and a downer.....give it a rest!
