I'm hearing today that the expansion is now an official go. If all goes as planned an announcement will come very very very soon, with construction starting sometime soon after the Auburn game. Construction in and around the stadium is going to be a mad house with the stadium and the new 110 million dollar hotel project going on, but the finished product with the Bryant Dr. improvements is going to make the stadium area absolutely one of the nicest venues in college football. It truly is an exciting time to be a Tide fan.

This is sooo awesome watching Alabama slowly rise back to the top of college football. we've definitely got the facilities, we've definitely got the coaches, we've got everything that money can buy.
now, we just need wins, and fast, before all of this momentum disappears.

bamagrove, you think they might have been waiting to see what kind of deal they got out of the the TV contracts or is this coincedental timing?

I would guess we will add at least 10,000 more seats. We should be in the 102,000 neighborhood. That's along way from the 43,000 seat Denny Stadium that I went to as a kid.

Times are good indeed. Who else expands while being down? When we get this thing going, it's going to be a madhouse in Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide.

Not bamagorve, but it may have sealed the deal for it. If nothing else, it definately gave them some much needed insurance. Those contracts are going to bring in some serious dough.

The Barn can't sell the tickets they have now! How are they going to keep up? They will add more seats that they can"t sell.
