Why in the world did you bump a thread that has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with this tragedy. Several children have been killed.

Its sad to here because Know his first cousin or work with him. He and Siran favor in appearance.
Me and him would recall how good is cousin was playing at Bama and discuss footbal. It saddens me to here this happening to his cousin and family. My prayers go out to him and his family.

I saw the immediate aftermath of this accident last night. There are NO WORDS to describe how horrific it was. My prayers are with the family.

I'm in Texas, and honestly hadn't even heard of Siran Stacy until I logged on to CNN tonight to check the day's headlines...after reading the initial story it was so horrific that I had to see more to believe it, and I came across this site--I am glad that everyone finally figured out that these were two seperate car accidents! Although none of that matters now, and I just had to give my two cents about how unbelievably sad this whole thing is. When I was in grade school in Colorado an accident almost exactly like this one happened only the man lost his ENTIRE family (not that that makes it any less awful) and the word around town was that he literally went into his basement, and would not come out or see almost anyone for months. Apparently he didn't want to be in the main house where all the memories were. I can't even imagine the pain that Siran and the rest of the families will be going through in the months and years to come.
Bama-Brotha--good for you for focusing on the good times in this man's life, and for calling for prayer, you sound like a good person, and Siran's cousin will be lucky to have you around. As for the rest of you who said you know the family or live in the area, God be with you all, and with the Stacy family, I hope that all of us will take time this Thanksgiving to say a special prayer to God for all the blessings we have (like family and health) and be reminded of those who are suffering--I know I will take some time to reflect of this. Sometimes it takes really terrible events in the lives of others (and ourselves) to remember what is important and how very lucky many of us are just to live and breath and be able to say "I LOVE YOU" to the people in our lives who matter the most...sorry for the rambling, but this story really got to me after a long day of crying around all day about things that are of absolutely NO importance! This girl is going to be doing some SERIOUS thinking tonight about the things I am THANKFUL for!!!

you said it best man. I just hope people don't get caught up in the whole Saban comments fiasco behind this. Stacy was one of my favorites at Bama

Siran and I were best friends growing up in Geneva but I have not seen him in twenty years until this past week. It was very moving for me to witness a family that could sing praises to Jesus at a time when most of us would do anything but feel the need for being thankful. Bay, you have once again shown me how to be a man of God and how strong the human spirit can be when there is hope. Those of you that know the Stacy family and Siran should know that he will not allow this tragic event to tear his faith apart but rather strengthen his resolve to continue his work in Christ. Please continue to keep all the Stacy family in your prayers.

check the date on when this thread was started. the original poster is discussing a totally different accident.
