My point wasn't to remove the Police Officer's opinion, but it was to remove the open Bias that was displayed on a vehicle owned by the City - which just happens to be a city that is home to The University of Alabama. Not only does it shoot holes in any kind of credibility that the TPD has remaining, but it adds fuel to the already growing fire. Those officers frequent campus every day, and for them to have an Auburn plate on the front of a vehicle that is supposed to be "uniformed" and unbiased is basically just a slap in the face, and like a previous poster stated - a seemingly blatant attempt to prove a point or garner attention. It would also be equally unacceptable for a patrol car to have Bama tags or stickers on it. It's a two way street - but when You're on the Campus of the teams Rival that you are supporting, and your co-workers are falsifying police reports, then it becomes a much bigger issue.

Superman, reasonable folks understand your point...others will argue with Jesus Christ over the fish they are served for free.

I told the Tuscaloosa Police Department police Chief, who is head over police officers that work around the entire City, particularly the University of Alabama, that one of his men had an Auburn tag on the front of his vehicle (which was clearly against the idea of "uniformity", which all PDs use). Also, with the growing buzz of a TPD "Conspriacy", and their credibility dwindling every day, I brought it to his attention. When a PUBLIC OFFICIAL who is supposed to have NO bias is driving around town and CAMPUS with an Auburn tag on his car, and then one of his co-workers falsifies a police report in order to arrest a Bama player, there is a PROBLEM that needs to be fixed. This part of the PROBLEM has been fixed, thanks to Mr. Swindle. Bite me.

Its not about bias. Its about a TPD officer advertising for the barn on a city owned patrol car. I'm sure his attitude was "I'm a barn fan and proud of it, suck it Tuscalosers!" I'm not sure UA tags should be allowed on the cars either. Allowing this behavior opens pandora's box. Would you like "Obama" or "McCain" stickers on the cars? I wouldn't.

Dude as a police officer myself, that as unprofessional as it comes. You are a idiot for questioning it. It would be no different if i drove my cruiser around auburn with a bama tag on the front or hey lets have some fun and ride around with a decal on the back that says TWELVE. LMAO I know nobody down at Auburn is familiar with the number 12, hell they can't even get their 1st.

I wish Jesus would bring me some fish. I wouldn't argue with him at all about it. But man some fresh caught fried catfish with some grits and coleslaw and maybe a few handmade hushpuppies with the nibblets of corn inside... oh man, that would be awesome.

Ok is this a room full of teenagers? Are you all serious? You honestly think TPD is arresting people based on their football loyalties? And I thought JFK was a streach. So you have succeded in removing all tags from TPD cars. So now everything should be right with the world. I guess no one posting in here has a tag on their vehicle or work vehicle. Would that mean the service or goods you provide would be of less quality. The problem is, if everyone knew how to act when out in public and everyone did not have to have an excuss for their actions, the police would not have to put such a large amount of officers on the strip. All of those officers are working overtime to keep things safe. What are you doing with your off time to help the city and its citizens? I wonder if they would rather be with their families? My thoughts are for all the ignorant posters in here to come up with something real to talk about.

I agree that the patrol cars shouldn't have anything other the state tag and no decals but I live in Tn and even the State troopers have Ut stuff in the windows. I also don't think that anyone would have said anything about it if the officer hadn't screwed up on RJ.I personally think that if he was bias based on that he has no right to wear that badge it deserves repect and it should be considered an Honor to wear Police Officers have enough problems without DumbA**s like him making the job any worse

Chief Swindle is a good guy. It's no surprise that he handled this "complaint" with swift action. I would be surprised if it wasn't already a policy and the car photographed was simply in violation of said policy.

And as far as writting false information in reports. You need to show prof before you make a statement of slander. I am not talking about some one told me or I knew a guy or I heard. Bring us real prof. I am willing to bet you have nothing to show any part of this officers report was made up.

Maybe we should also remove the Ford sitckers and emblems. They may be offending Chevrolet owners or maybe the Dodge owners.

Apples & oranges.
Your police cruiser, paid for by taxpayers, isn't meant to be a rolling advertisement or bulletin board.

No what it clearly is.....people in here think law and order is wonderful as long as it doesnt effect them or their football teams chances of winning. Same people that complain about officers speeding one day and the next complain about it taking to long to get there to help them.

On that, we agree. Law enforcement is a tough business. Too often seen as the enemy. However, if those reports don't match the security cams, those guys have a problem.

Well that is for a judge to decide. Not the posters in here that claim to have inside info, or for that matter what the lawyers put out in the media. The lawyer puts it out that there are issues with some of the report info and the video. Does that mean it's is true? They are not being offered anything out of the ordinary with this diversion deal, especially considering his history. Yet this lawyer will accept the deal and never have to back his statments in court, yet his statement is not called into question? How many lawyers do you know or have heard of for that matter ever admitted working for a guilty person? They all have clients that were railroaded.
This place is runnning wild with missinformation like it just came down with Moses from the mountian top. get real
