If this happened at the barn, some of you guys would have probably rolled and burned it. I find emailing the chief a much more intellectual way to handle something that is clearly inappropriate and placed there for obvious reasons.

I honestly believe that following coach Sabans meeting with "City Hall" , any harassment of
BAMA football players on the strip will cease.
Wait and see!

I have been off the board for a few days. What is this about video evidence and police officers falsifying reports?

They offered to drop his charges because video evidence from four different angles did not match anything that was written on the police report. Rashad and his attorney are going to figure out what they need to do this week whether it be sue, accept the plea, or what not.

Tusc. Mayor Walter Maddox was on Dunaway and Brown today talking about the TPD/UA situation on the strip. I can see why he's a politician. He did a very good job of supporting the police and he 100% supports the arresting officer of Rashad.

However, there was no mention of the video tape or the plea offer by the DA's office. I'm guessing he can't discuss specifics of the case (since it's ongoing) but why would he be so absolute in his support of the arresting officer when there are holes in the credibility of the case against Rashad? I guess if Rashad is proven innocent, he can always say that he didn't have all the facts of the case, blahblahblah.

I told the Tuscaloosa Police Department police Chief, who is head over police officers that work around the entire City, particularly the University of Alabama, that one of his men had an Auburn tag on the front of his vehicle (which was clearly against the idea of "uniformity", which all PDs use). Also, with the growing buzz of a TPD "Conspriacy", and their credibility dwindling every day, I brought it to his attention. When a PUBLIC OFFICIAL who is supposed to have NO bias is driving around town and CAMPUS with an Auburn tag on his car, and then one of his co-workers falsifies a police report in order to arrest a Bama player, there is a PROBLEM that needs to be fixed. This part of the PROBLEM has been fixed, thanks to Mr. Swindle. Bite me.

No offense, but I don't think making the guy take the AU tag off his car is going to make him unbiased. He is still an AU fan, but he just isn't able to express it on his car. He still has a bias towards Bama.

Why are you always on here? Is it because your program is mediocre, and the only thing you have to talk about is 11-0 with no where to go and winning six in a row against an Alabama team that is in Dire Straits?
Please go back to your Barn boards and talk about how great it is to be mediocre. That is, after all, all you can ever hope for, medicracy.

What a gubernaculum. I don't expect any city/county/state owned vehicle to be personalized. And that means no Bama tag as well.

My point wasn't to remove the Police Officer's opinion, but it was to remove the open Bias that was displayed on a vehicle owned by the City - which just happens to be a city that is home to The University of Alabama. Not only does it shoot holes in any kind of credibility that the TPD has remaining, but it adds fuel to the already growing fire. Those officers frequent campus every day, and for them to have an Auburn plate on the front of a vehicle that is supposed to be "uniformed" and unbiased is basically just a slap in the face, and like a previous poster stated - a seemingly blatant attempt to prove a point or garner attention. It would also be equally unacceptable for a patrol car to have Bama tags or stickers on it. It's a two way street - but when You're on the Campus of the teams Rival that you are supporting, and your co-workers are falsifying police reports, then it becomes a much bigger issue.
