I shared this on BOL as well... After much debate, I decided to email Ken Swindle (Tuscaloosa Police Chief) a picture that I had seen posted on here by a couple of different members. It is a picture of a TPD patrol car with an Auburn tag on the front. I e-mailed him the picture, addressed the issue of credibility (and the growing lack thereof), and asked that he check into it and have it removed if possible. Here is his response:

When we checked that was the only unit with a tag like that and it has been removed. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Congratulations. I think it's great that you did something that got action -- instead of just whining about it, as is the more common reaction around here.

I told the Tuscaloosa Police Department police Chief, who is head over police officers that work around the entire City, particularly the University of Alabama, that one of his men had an Auburn tag on the front of his vehicle (which was clearly against the idea of "uniformity", which all PDs use). Also, with the growing buzz of a TPD "Conspriacy", and their credibility dwindling every day, I brought it to his attention. When a PUBLIC OFFICIAL who is supposed to have NO bias is driving around town and CAMPUS with an Auburn tag on his car, and then one of his co-workers falsifies a police report in order to arrest a Bama player, there is a PROBLEM that needs to be fixed. This part of the PROBLEM has been fixed, thanks to Mr. Swindle. Bite me.

It took an officer trying to make a "point" to put that on an official vehicle. Official police vehicles should have nothing like that on them,including political stickers or anything else. The chief did the right thing.

its a tag. it aint like he's targeting alabama fans....oh, wait a minute, the conspiracy!!! he's the mastermind behind the auburn plot to bring down the alabama dynasty by making alabama football players commit crimes!!! auburn spys have inflitrated the TPD and are currently taking down the top players in the program to insure 7 in a row!!!

Are you not aware of the falsified reports by the TPD? The Four different camera angles that saw something completely different than what the Police officer claimed happened? If you are aware of that, and are not outraged, then you are certifiably retarded. Then, add the Auburn tags on the front of Police Cars of the guys making the arrests? That's ridiculous.
