I do one small concern with what you are proposing...is it worth a fluke injury to Cody. I think CNS is concerned with the risk versus rewards. You have him for one play on offense and run the risk of losing him on every down on defense. I would hate to lose him on defense for goal line situation

How about Trent and Ingram in the backfield together now that would be a running attack.

unbalanced line would work.

the dolphins used 2 TE's and 4 RBs in the wildcat. that would work.

i am sure mcelwain got chewed over those plays against the vols.

I 100% agree with you. Cody is a force on defense and special teams and would have a much higher risk of getting injured if they continue to have him in an offensive goal line play.

They had an injury scare with Cody last season running that play, right before he was injured in the Ole Miss game. With the RB running behind him there is a much greater chance of someone falling on his leg(s) and messing up his knee in that play. Worse idea, they stack that side and Cody falls back on Ingram and injuries Ingram.

That would be an interesting play... Fake hand off to Ingram and then pass to Trent or something.

Line one up at fullback and go with it with Cody at tightend pulled down or something...

Or TR at FB and Ingram at TB. You have the option of FB dive or, if the DE hasn't been playing with containment discipline, the good ole FB fake pitch.

I know...The SEC told the refs to start throwing flags for illegal dominating on short yard situations where Bama does that. Illegal advantage or something like that, they wanted a closer game.

I disagree. Cody, or any other player for that matter, could get hurt on any given play. That's like playing not to lose. If not Cody in the backfield, then #57. He is supposed to be the strongest player on the team. I say pull out all of the stops and let the chips fall where they may! beer
